Zapier: Design Producer

2022- Present

I began as the first producer at Zapier to bring production capabilities to their brand studio in the wake of a full rebrand. I was excited to step into a more creative forward tech/Saas space and learn about the product. Internally, I was able to implement a DAM asset management system for file archival and delivery, helping to ensure brand consistency. I also was able to help improve the procurement and legal process tremendously to make collaboration with external partners possible. Creatively, I helped launch one of their first campaigns and create various brand videos as well as a library of motion art GIF’s to serve as visual representations of the brand.

The results of production in-house were seen through the increased ease of collaboration between brand marketing, studio and advertising- resulting in a higher bar for creative work and better metrics for their creative overall

Capital One: Executive Producer

2017 – 2021

At Capital One I was able to align my production experience to serve one brand, and to help build internal studio capabilities from the ground up.

Capital One had internal creative capabilities and a small staff of photographers and editors, but no production support. I was able to stand up an intake process, and implement standards of practice for our custom creative work.

The result was award-winning work aligned to the Capital One specific Brand look and feel. Through library photo shoots, live-action video and animation I have been able to support multiple cross functional teams to make excellent, compelling work while saving money and finding new efficiencies. I have also been a part of defining a Brand style and negotiating our contracts with stock vendors, implementing a creative speaker series and pushing for diversity and representation in all our work.

Before departing for a new challenge, I moved into the production lead for all of our partnerships and creative card integration needs, overseeing production for several large scale teams, and helping to craft strategic production solutions and strategies for these teams on an annual basis for such launches as the Venture X card and all premium and travel content.

The Martin Agency: Post-Producer

2014 – 2017

At Martin Agency I was able to continue my journey in post-production and saw the similarities between film/TV production and advertising production.

I produced broadcast and social work for clients such as Oreo, Walmart and Discover. I also utilized my past culinary training and became involved in food styling. Often doing a lot of styling in-house for low budget projects like a GEICO series of pre-roll videos titled “Racookin’” or social posts for Sabra hummus.

I was able to work in 2D and 3D animation and conform and develop a roster of animators, illustrators, editors and motion graphics designers.

Virginia Film Office: Intern

2012-2014

The Virginia Film Office is where I first became involved in the world of production as an intern. I was given the ability to support multiple different roles such assistant directing, art department, locations and production assistant.

I was also able to learn the greater role that budgets, negotiations and staffing play to the overall success of film/TV production.
